About
Deeks VAT Consultancy – Here to help
Deeks VAT Consultancy was established in 2018 by Jane Deeks. It brings together a wealth of experience and technical knowledge aimed at providing a professional service in all areas of VAT and Tax. We believe that quality is the most important goal to achieve, and we ensure that we can provide value for money without diminishing the high standards that we always deliver. We provide a one stop shop for all your tax matters.
From Funfair to Leading VAT Specialist. Deeks VAT Consultancy was originally established to provide VAT advice. Jane has now expanded the practice to provide further tax advisory services to provide a holistic approach to all tax matters.
Jane was born and bred into the funfair business. She spent her formative years working and travelling on the funfair. From the age of 5-12, Jane managed less than 2 years of formal education. At 17 Jane decided to return to education and become a Solicitor. After successfully obtaining her GCSEs, she went on to achieve four A levels, a degree in Law with Honours, and a Commendation in Legal Practice at the University of Birmingham. Jane continued her studies and became a Chartered Tax Adviser.
A pricing structure that suits you
A pricing structure should not be complicated or unknown. We understand how important it is to have certainty about fees for professional services. We will communicate with you every step of the way to avoid any misunderstandings in this regard. We provide two methods to charge for our services in a way that is fair to our clients and ensures that more businesses can afford to hire expert VAT and Tax consultants. No matter how big or small your business may be, we can offer guidance on the best pricing structure for you. This ensures we offer you excellent service, that meets your needs and fits into your budget.
Fixed Price Services
Many of our clients welcome the opportunity to work with us on a fixed-fee basis. This means that the cost of our services can be agreed at the beginning of the relationship.
The benefits of this approach for you include:
- Knowing at the start of the project what our services will cost you.
- A clear understanding of how we are going to meet your requirements.
- We will always consult you prior to undertaking any additional work.
Depending on your specific requirements, and where there is a clear scope of work, we are usually able to offer a fixed price.
Variable Pricing Methods
Inevitably, there will be occasions when a fixed fee is simply not appropriate. In such circumstances one of the following charging methods will be agreed:
- Time-based fees: based on the complexity of the work and reliance on a third party, such as HMRC.
- Result or Contingency based fees: this is normally a mixture of a fixed fee plus a variable element (the variable element dependent upon the successful outcome of a particular assignment).
- Retainer based fee: a number of hours services are provided on a monthly basis for a set fee.
If you think it’s expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur.
