Jane Deeks provides VAT advice on all areas of VAT. She specialises in VAT Consultancy and Planning.
Jane is not the stereotypical boring VAT person. She is friendly, approachable, and available to help. She has over 25+ years’ experience in VAT, starting her career as a graduate trainee at PwC. She has worked for 3 of the top 4 accountancy firms.
Jane was born and bred into the travelling fairground business. For the first 12 years of her life, she managed only 21 months in total of formal education. At the age of 17, she returned to education and become a Solicitor. After successfully obtaining her GCSEs, she went on to achieve four A levels, a 2:1 degree in Law with Honours. The University of Birmingham awarded her with a Commendation in Legal Practice.
She started her career as a trainee tax advisor specialising in VAT, with PwC in 1999. She then became a Chartered Tax Adviser and set up Deeks VAT Consultancy Ltd in 2018.
