Jane Deeks is a highly skilled VAT consultant with expertise spanning all areas of VAT, specialising in Consultancy and Planning. Breaking the mould of the typical VAT professional, Jane is known for her friendly and approachable manner, making her a trusted partner for her clients. With over 25+ years of experience, she began her career as a graduate trainee at PwC and has worked with three of the Big Four accountancy firms.
Jane was born and raised in the vibrant world of the travelling Funfair business. Despite having just 21 months of formal education during her first 12 years, she demonstrated remarkable determination by returning to education at the age of 17. Jane achieved outstanding academic success, earning her GCSEs, four A-levels, and a 2:1 Law degree with Honours. She further distinguished herself by receiving a Commendation in Legal Practice from the University of Birmingham, ultimately qualifying as a Solicitor.
Jane’s VAT journey began in 1999 when she joined PwC as a trainee tax advisor specialising in VAT. She later qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser and founded Deeks VAT Consultancy Ltd in 2018. Passionate about the ever-changing complexities of VAT, Jane thrives on helping businesses navigate their challenges.
